In conjunction with Lend Lease as the Developer to manage the fitout requirements in the agreement for lease, full design and cost management and relocation transition to their new state of the art headquarters successfully.

Project Overview

Infosys a multi-faceted global tech company engaged Plan1 to provide Project Management and Superintendency services for their 9,200sqm relocation of their new Australian Headquarters. In conjunction with Lend Lease as the Developer to manage the fitout requirements in the agreement for lease, to full design / cost management to relocation transition of their new state of the art headquarters successfully.

Infosys new home engenders a sophisticated and fun ecosystem of varied spaces throughout, creating a unique experience throughout the fitout for employees, clients, and visitors. The innovative use of design and technology allows Infosys to foster a sense of community and enhance the continuous demand for learning for all patrons with dedicated collaboration zones, training rooms and experience centres.

From initial workplace strategy to cost plan development in Stage 1, through to the new office fitout and completion of Stage 4, the new fitout comprised of some unique features:

  • 5 Levels of commercial office fit out consisting of a high-end basement living lab experience centre independent to the main office fit out located on Levels 4 – 7.
  • Two floor stair void penetrations including installation a of a new three level interconnecting tenancy staircase.
  • Collaboration zones throughout the fitout with zoned focus areas.
  • Customer Experience centre located on Basement 1 consisting of client ready VR Booths, 360 Degree Digital Experience Room (Digital Donut) and Makerspace.
  • Dedicated training rooms with integrated Audio-Visual systems.
  • Custom local and international Data Centre with additional Hub rooms.
  • Custom commissioned Graffiti Artwork and Indigenous Artwork throughout the office.

Scope of Services

To provide Project Management and Technical Advice throughout the design and delivery, including:

  • Overseeing the Design Documentation Submissions; managing cost plans, design consultants and coordination of the design development and documentation of the project program.
  • Review of Head Contractor variations and provide recommendations on behalf of the Client.
  • Review of Fitout Contractor submissions and provision of technical advice on required aspects of construction works.
  • Reviewed the developer submissions of base building construction and progress through to practical completion.
  • Represented the client on all stakeholder and project meetings.
  • Progressively audited construction for compliance and assessed the project program to achieve timely building occupation.
  • Full relocation from existing premises to new premises including full relocation and management of dedicated data centre operational in tandem.
  • Management of existing vendors and direct procurement of authorised vendors.
  • Specialist procurement, programme management, project management and post occupancy support.

Sustainability

Plan1 recognises how important sustainability is and in conjunction with Infosys and the design team developed key aspirations and mandates for this project. All specifications and finishes were required to achieve a 5-star rating with a heavy emphasis on reuse of the existing finishes in the new premises including the existing flooring, ceiling finishes and lighting where possible.
